Performer Wanted
Victoria Briggs and Filskit Theatre are recruiting a performer for a production of Little Robin Red Vest at Lighthouse, Poole.
Last year we created a brand-new adaptation of Jan Fearnley’s beloved story featuring original songs, puppetry, and integrated Makaton. Little Robin is an accessible and multisensory treat, perfect for little ones aged 2-6 and their families. You can find out more about the show, and watch a short trailer here. We are recasting one role (the show is performed by 2 actors), and would love to meet performers who share our passion for creating magical and accessible theatre experiences for families.
The role is paid at a rate of £650 per week. Rehearsals and performances are scheduled Mon 17 Nov - Sun 14 Dec 2025 at Lighthouse Poole.
Our ideal performer will have the following skills & attributes:
Essential
a passion for creating high quality work for family audiences
strong tenor singing voice
strong storytelling and multi-roling skills
desire to create inclusive and accessible theatre
lives or has a base close (commutable) to Poole
available on Mon 16 June for auditions at Lighthouse Poole
Desirable
strong puppetry skills
knowledge or experience of Makaton
male-identifying performer (one of the roles this performer plays is Santa/Father Christmas)
We welcome applications from performers of all ages and backgrounds. We are particularly keen to hear from global majority performers and those underrepresented in the theatre sector.
